Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz, birthed in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Both her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's mother and father have both been Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish. She has also a half-sister named Sunyata Jubal. Ryder's younger brother is Uria. Ryder and her family relocated to Mendocino County in California, when Ryder was just seven. They didn't have electricity. Ryder who was an avid reader aged 12 became a book worm since Ryder had no access to television. Ryder started to take acting classes at the American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. Her first role was a success on the big screen in 1986 aged 15 years old. older. Ryder suffered from bullying throughout high school. She hoped acting could bring change. Unfortunately, that did not occur. However, she kept working towards her dream. She got her break through Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder was later cast in successful roles. In 1993 she won an Oscar Awards to be awarded for The Age of Innocence.
