Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four kids born in Newark, New Jersey on August 9 in 1963. The parents of Whitney are gospel vocalists Cissy Houston - n e Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick was also famous for her singing. The singer began her singing career in the choir of her church The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark as a young child and by the age of 15, she had begun singing backing vocals professionally with the mother of her on Chaka Khan's hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. In 1981, she did a stint as a model and appeared on the Seventeen cover. Also, she provided back vocals for Jermaine and Lou Rawls. The quality of her work as the vocalist featured in New York funk group Material was noticed by major record companies including Arista who she signed in 1982 and remained for the remainder of career. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the top-selling debut album by an artist. Three singles, Saving All My Love To You, What Will I Know When I'm Giving You Good Love, and the Most Beautiful Love of All came from the album. They helped Houston reach seven US top tens, which surpassed even The Beatles. The album sold three million copies in the first year of its release in US and went on to achieve a worldwide sales of 25 million, earning it the very first one of six Grammys. The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles What Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her first album. It was, however it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as an artist with the highest sales. The film and her part in it was not well received, but the music and her interpretation of the song by Dolly Parton I Will Always Love You were charted for months at the top of the charts. In all, she sold nearly 44 million albums and singles across the globe. In the same year, she got married to ex-New Edition singer Bobby Brown with whom she has a single daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown. She was born in the month of March 1993. At this point, her documented drug use started and in 1996 she became a daily user.
Dana Bash is also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz and she works as a political correspondent and journalist for CNN. The anchor also hosts a few show on weekends for the channel that include Evans & Novak Late Edition as well as Inside Politics. Her work has been for different well-known channels, as well, including NBC as well as CBS. Bash has received many awards as well as being included in the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine. Many young journalists admire Bash for her incredible reporting and anchoring skills.
